QUESTIONS FOR THIS WEEK (READ BEFORE YOU ARRIVE)

Ice Breaker: Which is better: Coke or Pepsi? Dunkin or Starbucks? East coast or west coast? Old school or new school? The beginning or the end?

Read (or from memory quote) our theme verse: Hebrews 6:9 (NLT)  What is the author trying to convey to his readers by using the word “better?”

One way we experience those better things is to live with God expectations. What does that mean?

What benefits are their for the believer who lives with God expectations?  Give an example of a time when you lived with God expectations.

What are some of the enemies of living with God expectations? How do we fight those?

Another way we experience the better we were meant for is loving God by loving others. Read Hebrews 6:10-11 (NLT). What connections do you see in these verses, especially in verse 11?

How does serving someone else lead to better things in your life? Have you experienced this?

Part of God’s better way to live, is to live with faith and endurance. What illustration did we use for living by faith?

What keeps you from taking more steps of faith?

Where do you feel like God is making you “uncomfortable” in order to get you out of the “nest?”

What do we get to experience if we take the leap, even if we fall down?
